Here is an announcement for a Workstation Fair involving Sun, SGI and Apple equipment. Please submit this only if it will appear before the March 27 date, Thank You, Henry Krempel. ------ Syracuse University Workstation Applications Conference March 27-31 1989 Room 1-211 (First Floor) Center for Science and Technology A week-long exposition of workstation-based software. Highlights include: o Demonstrations and Tutorials o Full-Color Printing o Electronic Publishing o Electronic Communications, Mail and Conferencing o Design, Paint and Draw packages for Art and Architecture o Software Development Environments o Interactive Video, Animation and HyperText o Mathematics, Graphing and Imaging Software o Science and Engineering Applications o Foreign Language Documents On display will be the cluster's own 15 Sun 3/60-FC workstations and Macintosh IIx computers. Each day will include Tutorials that will introduce new users to using workstations and Vendor presentations for a number of products. Demonstrations are held continually throughout each day. Hardware brought in specially for the show will include: Silicon Graphics 4D/80GT system, Silicon Graphics Personal Iris systems, a Sun-TC 24 bit workstation, a Sun 3/260CXP Graphics workstation, Sun 4/260s, Sun 386is, an Ardent Titan Graphics Supercomputer, a Solbourne Multi-Processor, scanners, printers, plotter, and FAX equipment.
