Rather than doing something with HARDWARE ... why not try a software solution. Try this adb patch on your Sun-3 kernel (tested on 3.2 and 3.5): # Patch to disable the BREAK key and L1-A in one fell swoop adb -w -k /vmunix /dev/mem << EOF montrap?w0x4e75 montrap/w0x4e75 EOF This patch also allows you to turn off and/or disconnect the console, too. The functionality of halting the CPU is still provided by the little white watchdog reset button on the CPU board. Disabling IT would require cutting traces on the CPU board (which HAS been considered, since it's dangerously close to the Ethernet connection on a Sun-3/260).
