Has anyone out there thought about or heard of people who are re-engineering sunos such that a diskless node can boot up off some kind of high density portable storage devices (e.g. optifloppy or whatever that can be put in one's pocket) as a standalone (or whatever) when all servers on the net are down (e.g. as in a scheduled shutdown situation) so that one can still continue one's work as usual (provided of course that what is on the optifloppy or whatever is adequate and up-to-date) ? This will be particularly useful when one wants to take one's work home (literally) over the weekend.
