Some weeks ago I asked for help regarding an annoying frreze up of my 386i every few minutes. Here's a summary of the replies: The Ethernet controller has a bug, such that if it is connected to a network with no traffic for 240 or 255 seconds, it resets itself, resulting in no screen output for 4 or 5 seconds. This annoying bug does not show up if the system is on a busy Ethernet or has networking disabled. Sun are working on a fix. If you have two or more workstations on the network, you can make them ping each other every four minutes or less to prevent the freeze-up. A 386i ith a couple of lightly-used PC's on its network is outa luck until Sun fixes the bug. Stefan W. Mochnacki INTERNET - stefan@helios.physics.toronto.edu Astronomy, U.
