This is in response to a query for a spreadsheet for Sun3's. There is one product I know that has a spreadsheet (it runs sort of like Excel) with a whole lot more. It's really an integrated tool for: Text Spreadsheet and Spreadsheet Graphics Line Art Image (color and Monochrome) With: Electronic Mail and Electronic Conference capabilities. It's called Slate (originally called Diamond, and was shown at the 1987 SUG). We've been a Beta-test site for Diamond and now Slate for the past 2 years, and we have written some fairly large documents using it, and it's really good. In fact, it's the only product of it's kind that I know of. I co-authored a 40-page report using it, and it certainly made the job of collaborating with another author easier than any other method. Recently, one of their developers came to our Workstation Fair in Syracuse to unveil a sophisticated Multi-lingual package for Slate. I don't know their current price policy (last I heard they hadn't settled on an Educational price, grrrr! But maybe if you called them up or wrote them...)
