We have just gotten Typesetter Independent troff from Bell Labs. The device we most want to use it on is the Imagen/Canon LBP-10 laser printer. As distributed, the troff package comes with a dcan.c program that seems to support a slightly modified version of the Versatec bit-mapped fonts from Berkeley. The package itself only had a few of the most basic fonts in a limited number of point sizes. What we would like is a version of the dcan.c program which uses the Computer Modern fonts that Imagen distributes with the Canon. We also hope to use fonts being produced directly by Metafont. We would also like a version of dcan.c that supports the /usr/lib/vfont fonts as distributed with 4.1BSD. There seems to be only a slight difference between the Bell bit-maps and Berkeley's, but I haven't gotten them to work yet. Any help would be much appreciated.
