[comp.sys.sun] 'talk' between 386i and other machines

I have a Sun386i (OS 4.0.1) and 'talk' between a Sun3 (OS 3.5) with no
problems.

I have no trouble initiating a talk from my 386i (OS 4.0.1) to any of
our Sun3s (OS 3.5), but when I try to talk to our Sun3E (OS 4.0) I get
the symptoms you describe.  At least this narrows the field of search...
