[comp.sys.sun] Non-SunNets stuff in Sun Nets

csrobe@cs.wm.edu (Chip Roberson) (04/27/89)

Personally I don't mind the non-sun-nets stuff on sun nets, but I believe
that it would be better if there were a non-moderated version of sun-spots
that people use when quick turn-around is required. I think that a
moderated list serves a purpose, but sometime the lag might make a message
less than useful.

cheers,
-c

Ask and you shall receive. As part of my effort to reduce the volume in
Sun-Spots, I plan on creating a new list specifically for the discussion
of managing Sun systems. It will be housed at Rice, it will be run by me,
but it will be neither moderated nor digested.

There are many exciting and surprising things in the works. Things will
never be the same again. So stay tuned for more details. I expect two
lists, sun-managers and sun-386i, to come "on line" by the end of April.
