I have installed transcript 2.0 under SunOS4.0 for a Laserwriter Plus. The printer is attached to a Sun 3/260 via a RS232 line from one of the ttyports on the alm-2. It works ok for small files but jams on larger one over 4 pages or so. THe yellow light on the printer double flashes. The assumption is that the XON/XOFF is screwewd up and the printer is getting overwhelmed. THings work fine with s NTXII laserwriter. Any ideas? Here is the printcap we currently have: # PostScript and TranScript are trademarks of Adobe Systems Incorporated ps|lp|ps|postscript|PostScript:\ :lp=/dev/ps:sd=/usr/spool/ps:\ :lf=/usr/adm/ps-log:af=/usr/adm/ps.acct:\ :br#9600:rw:fc#0000374:fs#0000003:xc#0:xs#0040040:mx#0:sf:sb:\ :pl=60:pw=80:\ :if=/home/lib/ps/psif:\ :of=/home/lib/ps/psof:gf=/home/lib/ps/psgf:\ :nf=/home/lib/ps/psnf:tf=/home/lib/ps/pstf:\ :rf=/home/lib/ps/psrf:vf=/home/lib/ps/psvf:\ :cf=/home/lib/ps/pscf:df=/home/lib/ps/psdf: Thanks rich

It is to be released at the end of this month (Oct 1988). hal kempthorne us answer center ******************** We are about to get a 2.1 tape at last, could we realy have made do with 2.0? Perhaps we've been living on the edge, but we've been running TranScript 2.0 on our Sun-3s under 4.0 without a hitch, big files and small. Now, it is true that you must use 2.1 for a Sun-4 under 4.x, but Sun-3s seem to do just fine. Evan R. Moore Academic Computing Group Williams College 91erm@bigbird.cc.williams.edu
