what does everyone think of the new PS/2 style keyboards that Sun is shipping now? i liked the old ones better and am slightly bummed that we will have two different types of keyboards on our systems. In v7n287, Steve Elias (eli@chipcom.com) asks what everybody thinks of the new PS/2 style keyboards. I think they are terrible. I find myself making many more typing errors on the new keyboard than the old, even after several months of using the new one. The fact that I use many different machines, some with old keyboards & some with new, doesn't help. I sort of understand why Sun did it, but it's a mistake as far as I'm concerned. I'm still bummed that my new 3/60 doesn't have as nice a keyboard as my old 2/120 (it has the kind without hardware keyclunk). The new type 4 keyboards are even worse. But, not really being a touch typist, I guess I'll adapt. Still, **anything** is better than the armored-tank style "VT-100" keyboards we have on our (non-functioning) Sun-1s. Be thankful for small mercies. [[ Oh man.....they WERE awful! --wnl ]] @alex
