I'm having a problem getting the quota system to work on the 386i. Quotas work fine for /files1 (our expansion unit disk), but I can't seem to get them working on /files. The command "quotaon /files" gives the response "quotactl: /dev/rooth: No such device". Typing "quotacheck /files" gives the response "/files/quotas dev (0x717) mismatch /dev/rooth dev (0x1607)." This occurs on both of our systems. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Jon Dunn jwd@aristotle.phil.indiana.edu

My problem with quotas not working on /files on the 386i was solved by changing the entry for "/dev/rooth" in /etc/fstab to "/dev/sd2h". This is documented in the 4.0.1 release notes and was also suggested by Brad Walker of Sun and David Kovar. Thanks! Jon Dunn jwd@phil.indiana.edu
