[net.unix-wizards] Should dumps be done single user?

We always do our dumps in single user mode.  There are two basic
reasons, as we see it:
	1. The file system must be quisced (sp?).  This is easiest
	   If there are no users on.
	2. We have found that the machine (we have a VAX 11/780) is
	   almost twice as fast in single user mode as in multi user
	   mode.
