[comp.sys.sun] HP Terminal Emulator Needed

kindred@cs.rochester.edu (David L Kindred (Dave)) (07/14/89)

Does anyone know of a source for an HP Terminal Emulator? A Sunview or X
based program would be the most desirable, but anything is worth looking
at. Any leads towards a commercial product (via email) would also be
appreciated. In particular, I need at least 2622 level of functionality,
including local edit, block mode, and downloadable function keys.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

HP has an X based program called (suprise!) "hpterm". It is included with
the X server they ship with hp-ux. It has all you ask for. I don't know
whether they would be willing to release it for another platform. Perhaps
not, as it is not included in the X11R3 source distribution.
