I am having a problem getting 'tip' and 'uucp' to work with my Telebit Trailblazer modem on a Sun 4/280 running SunOS 4.0.3 using serial port B. It correctly dials the number, but it always hangs up the phone on the first or second ring. I have a "destination" called 'direct' and when I 'tip direct' I then talk directly to the Telebit, and if I give it the correct 'AT' commands to make the call, there is no problem. When I try to have tip or uucp do it, it hangs up too soon. Has anyone experienced a similar problem, and if so, is there an easy solution? I am using the 'at=hayes' in /etc/remote, and the ACUHAYES in the /etc/uucp/L.sys file. Any information you can get to me (...uunet!telxon!gorpong) would be greatly appreciated. If there is sufficient interest, I will post the results to the net. Thank you very much. -- Gordon. Gordon C.
