Hello, O.K. here it goes, my first mail message to the Internet community. (So thank you in advance.) We are using Sunlink 3270 on a Sun 386i and Telnet on a PC-NFS PC clone. The PC establishes a Telnet session to the 386i and executes the Sunlink 3270 gateway application in order to connect to an IBM SNA network. The problems are as follows; 1) The 3278 status line appears on the 24th. line of the PC. Only 23 lines contain terminal data instead of the normal 24 lines that one has on a 3278 terminal. 2) The PC-NFS Telnet utilizes the PC keyboard function keys to control the Telenet program. As a result, they do not pass through to the Sunlink 3270 gateway software. "It would be nice if" the PC function keys where passed though to the IBM host. Hopefully, this would allow any user familiar with a 3278 terminal to conveniently execute application on the IBM from the PC. Does anyone have a solution which still utilizes Sunlink 3270? REMEMBER: that's what we do after a while. sanderson@mdc.com
