David Taylor, at Hewlitt Packard, Colorado,(1hnp4!hfcla!d_taylor), has started a newsgroup on Computers and Society, and finds that he cannot continue to distribute it from his site. He is seeking support to establish a group on the net for this topic, and I strongly endorse the idea. Besides myself, there are others at the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo interested. Courses are taught on the subject at both universities, and the potential number of readers and contributors is high.

I also vote "yes" for the creation of a newsgroup on computers and society. The mailing list on the topic quickly became too big for the moderator to manage. -- Jeff Lichtman at rtech (Relational Technology, Inc.) That's the charter of HUMAN-NETS. Why create another group? --Lauren--
