Does anyone have any (useful) suggestions about why a Sun 3/50 would occasionally do coredumps of suntool processes which traceback as follows: hal 46 % dbx /bin/cmdtool core Reading symbolic information... Read 27 symbols (dbx) where textsw_note_event_shifts(?args?) textsw_process_event() at 0xed4be90 textsw_process_event() at 0xed4c09d textsw_event() at 0xed4baab notify_next_event_func() at 0xecee40f ttysw_text_event() at 0xed7d841 notify_post_event_and_arg() at 0xecf4bab notify_post_event_and_arg() at 0xecf4a7f win_is_io_grabbed() at 0xecfb979 win_post_id() at 0xecfa8a7 win_is_io_grabbed() at 0xecfb541 win_is_io_grabbed() at 0xecfb1d7 notify_signal() at 0xecff213 ndis_default_prioritizer() at 0xecf44b9 ndis_default_prioritizer() at 0xecf42e1 notify_client() at 0xecfefbd ndis_default_scheduler() at 0xecf422f ndis_dispatch() at 0xecfeba1 notify_start() at 0xecf5ded window_main_loop(?args?) etext(0x25204) at 0xed35d3b main(0x0, 0xefffaa0, 0xefffbd4) at 0x2a79 I have gotten this traceback from several different suntools-- most of them are from cmdtool, but I have also gotten cores from mailtool and rolotool (a public domain rolodex tool). The dump only occurs when the affected window is refreshing itself-- such as when an overlapping window is removed, or when coming out of lockscreen. I am running sunos 4.0.x (not sure about lsb). Any suggestions would be appreciated! Jim Kohli | "Stream? More like a drying trickle GE Medical Systems | of consciousness, if you ask me..."
