A Request for UNIX Information
June 3, 1983
I am a graduate student at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada,
and I am doing a project about the UNIX operating system. I am interested
specifically in the internal workings of UNIX (i.e., beyond a user's point
of view) and also in benchmark performance on various machines using various
peripheral devices. I have searched for material relevant to these topics
at a few local universities but have met with little success. If anyone
knows of any books or technical reports on these topics or knows of anyone
knowledgeable in these topics, I would appreciate it if they would let me
know about them.
