[comp.sys.sun] RPC error messages

Hi,

Can anyone please help.

We have a network of about 18 Suns (Sun 2s and Sun 3s) running OS 3.5
There are 2 file servers both 3-160s.

Now we halt clients whenever we like - no problem

     EXCEPT

on one particular client.  When this client is halted the servers start
outputing the following to their consoles :

    clnttcp_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Timed out
    statd cannot talk to statd at prsun5g

As far as I can tell their is no difference to this client's setup than
any of the others.

Any enlightment on the subject would be most welcome.
