I'm trying to port Rahul Dhesi's data-compressing archive program Zoo (version 2.01) to a Sun 3/260 running Sun/OS 4.0.3. (Zoo would be nice to have on our Sun's because it runs on many other machines, such as IBM PC's.) However, when I make Zoo using the "mkbsd" script, the resulting binary dies with the error "stack overflow in lzd()" when I try to do a test decompression of a sample archive. Has anyone successfully ported Zoo 2.01 to the machine/OS combination that I've mentioned above? I had no trouble compiling and running Zoo on a VaxStation II running 4.3 BSD, so I suspect that there may be machine dependencies in the Zoo source that will prevent it from running on a Sun in its current form.
