Charlie, I have a 386i with a CAE program that generates HPGL. They supply a filter that I have not really figured out. I am successfully using XON XOFF protocols using a printcap given to me by the SUN local office. In this they were a big help. Try them. However, I now have a problem with end of plot. The plotter does not send an XOFF at the SP0 command. This allows parts of the next plot to go in to the bit bucket. Watch out for this one.
