[comp.sys.sun] How to change SPARC keyboard key repeat delay?

wargaski@accuvax.nwu.edu (Robert E. Wargaski Jr.) (11/07/89)

A SPARCstation user wants to increase the delay between the time a key is
depressed and the time the repeat begins. I have RTFM, but am unable to
find information of this sort in the tastefully boxed set of SPARC
manuals.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

If you're using X windows, it's fairly easy to hack in some changes to the
Xsun server to allow users to choose their own autorepeat initiate and
autorepeat delay times. I would have liked to make this an xset-able
parameter, but this would have been a bit more work, so for now it's only
doable via the command line.

I can provide diffs to the MIT server (R3 + patches 1-10 + purdue 2.1) if
anyone's interested.
