A friend who does not have access to the net asked me to see if I could find out what a Sun 2/120 donated to him personally by someone at his work is worth. He's thinking of selling it and would like to know a fair price. Is there a blue book of used (somewhat obsolete) computer prices? (Him selling his has piqued my interest enough to consider buying a more powerful, but used Sun (or other unix box) for myself.) Here's some info copied off the system: Model Sun 2/120, part # 600-1013-02, date 15-feb-85 has Sun 2 monitor (p # 540-1062-01), keyboard, usual mouse systems mouse and back panel moxes marked: video keyboard mouse, sio-a sio-b, no-10227, ethernet, 340-1049-01, 340-1049-01 (2 of 'em) (did not get the chance to pull the cards and write them down...) seems to run like I remember them running. boots up saying (in part): total 7427, 41771 (ie seems to have 42M disk & 1/2 inch tape drive), size 460248+7090+64656 bytes, Sun 4.2 rel 3.2 #1 c 1986, mem 7168K, available 6432768, ethernet x:x:xx:x:xx:xx, sd0: micropolis 1325, cyl 1022, alt 2 hd 8 sel 17 using 100 buffers containing 679936 bytes of main memory Has Frame Maker and Frame Writer 1.11 nov 12, 1987, which seems to have been it's only use.
