[comp.sys.sun] X server on a Sun 2/160

dmh@goanna.oz.au (Darren Hosking) (11/30/89)

I have just compiled X11R3 for a Color Sun 2/160 without any problems.
However, when I try and start the server I get a message saying that no
displays can be found:-

sunburnt% xinit -- -dev /dev/cgtwo0
Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/lib/X11/rgb'
Mapping cg2c.cmap: Invalid argument

Fatal server bug!
Can't find any displays

giving up.
../xinit/xinit: Protocol wrong type for socket (errno 41): unable to connect t
o X server

This occurs with /dev/bwtwo0 and /dev/cgtwo0 (but I don't get the mapping
error message when trying /dev/bwtwo0). Does anyone have any idea what the
problem is and/or how to solve it?

	Thanks in advance, dmh
