I need some advice. We would like to have some sort of interactive graphics design package for our SUN system. We have a 3/180 serving 5 3/50s and a diskful 3/60, all running SUN OSv3.5 (no upgrade in the near future). We have the public domain MacPaint-like raster image manipulator, touchup; it is useful but limited to pixel-by-pixel work. We are certainly aware of the capabilities of AutoCAD; howver, it is expensive. I would like to hear about any public or reasonably priced commercial packages available which will permit relatively complex graphics work such as (prehaps) object manipulation, paint and draw, text insertion and font capacities... etc.. Basically, we are looking for something closer to the real MacPaint, MacDraw, Illustrator (Mac applications) or cheaper than AutoCAD. If this has been reveiwed before, prehaps someone can point in me toward the correct issue. Otherwise, Email to me direct and I shall summarize if there is sufficient information.
