Why does Yellow Pages in NFS restrict there being only one master server per domain? What makes multiple masters difficult to implement? Are there some design constraints on Sun of which I am not aware? What I want is to have a replicated master on the net so that if one master goes down (machines don't break, do they?), the other can respond to requests. This provides more reliability. Is there any way to provide this functionality myself. Is there a way to automate changing a slave server to a master when THE master goes down? Thanks in advance to any who respond.
