Does anyone have references to paradigms for navigating through "complex" 3 dimensional spaces? As a reference point, I think a "simple" 3 dimensional space would be an inflated balloon, and a "complex" space would be the human body. A problem I'm trying to understand better is how, while navigating, do you know where you are? An example of this is some of the exhibits at Disney Land.
