We have problems running "refer" and "lookbib" on our new Sparcstations (SunOS 4.0.3). We consistently get memory faults. Does anyone have experience with this? Any hints will be appreciated. Michael Hess hess@ifi.unizh.ch

These programs have several bugs under SunOS 4.0*:
bug#1009231 refer dumps core if file ends with .]
bug#1014477 lookbib broken under 4.0
so#359103 lookbib: no output if indxbib isn't run; Sparcs dump core if
indxbib _is_ run
Patches are available from Sun software support. Rumor has it that the
bugs are fixed in SunOS 4.1.
