A friend of mine is looking for some software or hardware which does image
compression. The paradigm is something like this. You have a big image (1K
X 1K). Compress and transmitt it to the viewing station and at the viewing
station, decode it for display or further processing and display. Can
somebody give me any information on such commercially available/PD
software or any hardware ?
