From: J. C. Pistritto <jcp@brl-bmd> I am interested in a 'wizards evaluation' of the Coherent Pseudo-UNIX product for the IBM PC. Several people I know have PC's, (and the thought has crossed my mind), but I don't want to get one until a 'good' UNIX is available. I hear that Coherent goes for $500 (seems awfully low) -JCP-

Don't ask me for specifics as it has been a while but I do remember that there were some things they did that at the time impressed me as being rather shlocky. Apparently Ithaca was impressed the same way as they eventually started shipping Xenix, and offered fairly low-cost upgrades to those individuals already having coherent systems. The xenix by the way seemed considerably less shlocky.
