Steve Woods made a few minor errors in his report on DEC supporting UNIX. Jan Grisca is part of the DEC Field Service organization (U.S. area product support planning). He is not in the UNIX Engineering Group nor is he a product manager for either version of UNIX from DEC (VAX or PDP-11). Ann Courtright is the PM for the 16 bit UNIX and Bill Doll is the PM for the 32 bit UNIX. The best numbers that we have held near to our heart are that there are between 20% and 25% of the VAXen in the world running UNIX, and at least 90% of those are Berkeley UNIX. There was a syncronization problem between the PDP-11 software book and the price list. The next price book should have pricing and such. I was working from my (not very readable) notes and I hearby appoligise for any errors in my statments. The numbers that I gave were from memory (faulty) but I believe that I had them correct (remember this was a biased group).
