Anybody know the jumper settings for a Maxtor xt-4380e disk drive? The
drive will be hooked up to a 3/260 with the old ESDI-SCSI controller (si).
The machine runs 3.5.
Does anybody know of an archive of such things?

got lots of entries for disk partition and setup, I just need to organize

We had a heck of a time formatting a Maxtor drive on a Sun 3/60. I can
show you how we did it. You have an XT-4380E but we have an XT-8760E.
After several calls to Maxtor, we got ahold of an informed technician (our
first call got a reply like "A Sun computer? No, our drives only go into
pc's.").
Anyway the Maxtor tech said that we should place the drive in hard sector
mode and hard configure it for 52 sec/track. but our format.dat should say
nsect =50.
Here is our working copy of our format.dat for that drive.
