Hi. I finally upgraded my 4/330 to 32 MB memory. I was wondering if people out there have experience in optimizing performance for such configurations. The questions I have are: 1) How much swap space should I have. I currently have 32 MB. I recall seeing somewhere that swap space should be atleast twice the RAM. 2) Does it matter if this swap space is not contiguous. The only place on my disk I can create a ~30 MB file right now is in one of the /home partitions. 3) "limit" shows stack size to be 8 MB. Should this be changed to something else of better performace. 4) What else can I do to optimize performace. I frequently run programs which require about 20 MB swap space. I now hope to run more than one simultaneously. Please email the replies to me. I will summarize if there is sufficient interest.
