[comp.sys.sun] Notifier assertion botched?

Once again we've elicited our all-time favorite error message, presumably
from the Notifier:

Notifier assertion botched: more than one paranoid using enumerator

What, pray, does this mean?  We're running 4.1 on a Sparc 1+.
