[comp.sys.sun] tip with support for full 8 bits

Has anyone modified tip to support full 8 bit connections?  I'd like to be
able to use the meta-key with emacs.  Currently, tip doesn't support this.
Setting parity (pa) to "none" simply sets the 8th bit to 0.
