>Response was pretty weak (maybe only 30 people in the entire world read >the Digest complete messages? :)) I polled a couple of my collegues to see if they had voted (on the basis that between us we could have forced a recount). They both said that they had added the digest complete postings to their kill file. Could I suggest you declare the vote null and void (on the basis that not all those eligible to vote received their polling cards) and post an article asking for votes. [[Ed's Note: Okay, we'll do this one more time. Let me sketch the way this would work again real briefly. I would create a new sub-group (ie: a new digest topic (separate digest) for digest recipients, and a new keyword for c.s.s. readers) - all for.sale ads and requests would be placed in this category. This means that if you wanted to read it, you could, otherwise, it would be quickly apparent where they were and you could purge it/put it in your kill file. So, the big question is whether we should have these ads in c.s.s. when misc.forsale.computers exists? It would save everyone interested in these ads the trouble of digging through m.f.c. looking for Sun specific ads, and it would give you a good place to find the approx values for used equipment, *but* it would increase the bandwidth of what some might already call a "verbose" group (just for trivia: that's the #1 reason for unsubscribing to the digest: 'It takes more than 8 hours a day to read' :)) Seriously, I will rerun this vote for one more week (I know, that's a short period, but this isn't an official "Usenet" vote). At the end of that time, the vote will be closed and whatever the count is will stand (assumign I don't grunge it up again like last time :)) -bdg]] Graham.
