I can't seem to discover how to refresh my display after it's been trashed by, say, a "screenload". "xrefresh" doesn't work, and pushing the "Refresh" button in the Workspace Utilities menu (when I can find it!) doesn't work either. I'll take any type of code (sh, csh, psh, or C). The -e flag forces the overlay plane of the default display device (/dev/fb ususally) to show color, and resets it in the process.
