We are using the Sun X.25 software which is part of Sunlink 6.0 to connect our local IP-subnet via a PSDN to the internet. The link is operated at 19.2 Kbaud. The two X.25 gateways are a Sun 4/330 with MCP on our site and a Cisco box at the remote site. Now we are encountered with the situation that on a sporadic basis the link will drop down. We get the following error messages: x25manager: call collision -- local smaller x25manager: call collision -- local smaller x25manager: call collision -- local smaller x25manager: call collision -- local smaller ... I've already checked that the link parameters which are specified in the X.25 configuration file (/etc/sunlink/x25/x25params) match the corresponding parameters of the PSDN. The problem has also been reported to Sun service people who were unable to solve it up to now. Indeed they told me that they had never heard about such an error message. Now I'm wondering wether this is a specific problem which applies only to our configuration. If anyone out there has any idea what the problem might be please write directly to me. If someone else has run into similar problems I would appreciate if he could send me an e-mail too. Many thanks Wolfgang Moll Computer Science Department University of Bonn
