How can I get troff output on a PostScript laser printer? Sure, I do troff -t | lpr -t, but where do I get the troff-to-PS filter - preferably PD (natch). How else is troff useful without a real C/A/T typesetter? Chip Campbell Ontario Cancer Institute, Toronto Bitnet: campbell.utoroci

Several programs translate from old troff output to Postscript. The simplest one, which is free, is 'thack'. It's in the Rice archive: FTP: Hostname : titan.rice.edu (128.42.1.30) Directory: sun-source Filename : thack.shar Filesize : 13638 bytes Archive Server Address: archive-server@rice.edu Archive Server Command: send sun-source thack.shar
