I have noticed that the audio quality of the internal speaker of the SLC
seems to be much lower than that of the SS1/SS1+. The sound has some
distortion component much like that of a loudspeaker with a damaged voice
coil :-(. At first I thought the SLC I tried was defective, but other
SLC:s sound just the same. If I connect an external monitor speaker to
the audio port the sound is just as good as of the audio port of an SS1 or
SS1+ so the difference in design must be in the hardware section driving
the internal speaker. No big deal if you connect an external monitor, but
most people don't and will be discouraged by what they hear.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and know the reason ?
