I have to invert a 5x5 matrix in a hurry. And it has to be done symbolically--i.e. I don't have numerical values. I was wondering if anyone can help me by suggesting a computer package that can do it. Can Maple, or Mathematica or Matlab do it ?? Is there a version of Matlab that runs on Sun SPARCsystems (if Matlab can do it) ? If so, does anyone know of an anonymous ftp site for Matlab for Sun SPARCs ? CAn Mathematica do it? A few months ago someone from Univ of Waterloo ?? posted an announcement that the said university would allow others to use their package (Maple ??) since there was some excess capacity or something to that effect. Do I remember correctly and if so can someone (prefarably from Waterloo) please give me some help ?? Any and all help will be gratefully appreciated.
