I need to read synchronous data into a Sun via a serial port. I am having trouble finding any info on how to do this. I know that the mcp and mti boards (used as alm's) can support this, but I've only seen it done in conjunction with a Sunlink software product like Sunlink X.25. Also, I've taken a look at the zs driver, but it only appears to support async comms (although I believe the hardware will support sync comms). Can anyone help me out on this one? One of the files included with Sunlink-X.25 is: /usr/sunlink/x25/sys/sun3/OBJ/zs_sdlc.o When it is linked into the kernel, device "zss0" is ttya in sync mode and "zss1" is ttyb in sync mode. I am running X.25 over my 3/50's ttyb port now. I don't think Sun provides that module except as part of a purchased product.
