I have a Sun3 running SUNOS 4.0 and OpenWindows V2. I also have a PC running PC Locus' Xsight X server software. I would like to use Xcall/Xanswer protocols to allow the PC user to gain entry to the Sun. I would like to be able to have the user login thru an X based login screen. I believe the thing I need is called xdm ( X display manager ). I do not have all the MIT source and don't have the time to wade thru it even if I did. Openwindows is X11V4 based. Would someone out there be able send me all the relavant source and headers so I could compile xdm here without breaking any laws? Best case would be if you could also run the compile and send the output for my Sun 3/60 so I won't find out later that I still need another part. Thanks in advance. Please respond via Email. Joe DeAngelo (uunet!wrkgrp!jmd) P.S. If someone out there has already done this before I'd really like the opportunity to learn from your experiences about this. I would similarly be open to sharing how I've gotten as much working as I have. The only other hurdle I have now is that some of the icon graphics won't display. Sun tech support sez it's due to the fact that I only have a 4 bitplane display available. Also Clock hands won't display ( same reason).
