[net.unix-wizards] uucp documentation

	I am looking for a document describing the file transfer protocol used
by uucp. I am faced with having to implement at least part of it on several
non-unix machines, and would appreciate any information that anyone has.

two years ago at the SF usenix conf, Lauren Weinstien presented
a talk on UUCP after he spen t a great deal of time ciphering out
what the protocols were. He ported or rather re-wrote UUCP for
MARC. There is no Real documentaion on the protocols around.
Lauren learned by doing. I suggest you contact him. He works
for Vortex (?) and you can get mail to him by mailing to
lbl-csam, he is known as 'lauren@lbl-csam'(?).
