GraphEd is a powerful interactive editor for graphs and graph grammars. GraphEd currently runs on SUN-3 and SUN-4 Workstations under the SunView user interface. Main features are : - works with arbitary graphs - directed/ undirected - self-loops - multiple edges - customizable nodes and edges - user-definable node and edge shapes, - arbitrary node sizes - color - arbitrary labels - label fonts - powerful graphical user interface - SunView - easy to use - fast - graph grammars - extendable - interface for algorithms (Sgraph) included - includes algorithms - connectivity - planarity test for 2-connected graphs - tree layout - DAG layout We are currently working on three algorithms for drawing planar graphs, an algorithm to draw petri nets and an algorithm for drawing arbitrary graphs. Extensions to draw graphs via their graph grammar derivation trees are under development. They should all be available next year. GraphEd is free available for non-commercial use with anonymous ftp from forwiss.uni-passau.de (132.231.1.10). The file archive/local/graphed/graphed2.0.tar.Z (~ 500k) is all you need.
