I have just been using the latest version of NFSWATCH to monitor the traffic on our local network. Before the upgrade from SunOS 3.5 to 4.1 it was easy to see the "nd" traffic seperately but now the swapping is in the NFS calls. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to extract this info so I can tell the powers that be that, for example, 90% of the traffic is swapping. I cannot find any info about this in the documentation. cheers, gerry PS this is what I have so far.... --------------------- --------------------- --------------------- NFSwatch logfile summary: Log time: Wed Nov 7 14:26:56 1990 to Wed Nov 7 15:36:56 1990 Log entries: 8 Packets from: all hosts Packets to: all hosts Total packets: 362221 (network) 362221 (to host) 2054 (dropped) Packet counters: ND Read: 0 0% ND Write: 0 0% NFS Read: 56112 15% NFS Write: 11817 3% NFS Mount: 96 0% Yellow Pages: 1325 0% RPC Authorization: 73356 20% Other RPC Packets: 54106 15% TCP Packets: 69548 19% UDP Packets: 292501 81% ICMP Packets: 14 0% Routing Control: 339 0% Address Resolution: 64 0% Reverse Addr Resol: 86 0% Ethernet Broadcast: 533 0% Other Packets: 8 0% NFS counters: ccsunfs(3,3): 11369 17% ccsunfs(3,4): 18243 27% ccsunfs(3,6): 18785 28% ccsunfs(3,7): 7126 10% seq1(0,0): 12404 18% ccmeiko1(7,6): 2 0%
