I've been trying to run OpenWindows V2.0 on my Sun 3/60 to a PC based X server using software from PC Locus called XSIGHT. I've downloaded fonts as I saw the error messages pop up but I still have problems with the 'drawables' like the clock hands and the icon pictures. The precide diagnostic I get when trying to run the analog clock is: XView warning: xv_rop: can't handle drawables of different depth XView warning: xv_rop: xv_rop internal failed I called Sun tech support who told me that this was due to running on a 16 color VGA PC. I had trouble accepting this since most of the images did not seem very colorful on my Sun monitor. I looked up xv_rop and found that its usage pertains to the drawing of server based images. Does anyone know if the above is related to my needing to export more fonts to the PC to support server based images and if so, how? Please respond via Email to uunet!wrkgrp!jmd.
