[comp.sys.sun] Adding second EDSI drive to Sun 3/60 SCSI shoebox

I only dabble in hardware so excuse any small mistakes.

As I understand it the old sun3 shoe boxes actually contain an EDSI drive
and the controller then changes things to a SCSI interface for connection
to the workstation.

We have a spare EDSI drive (150 meg Wren III) that we would like to add to
a sun 3/60. Is it possible to add the second EDSI drive to the
controller? Would this just look like a extra SCSI device on the first
SCSI controller to the workstation? Is this how the SCSI tape device is
added to the box?

We tried it out, connecting the cable one way produced nothing but SCSI
errors and the other way around the drive was completly ignored.
