FYI: The problem with aviator and the GX segment driver is well known, and can easily be fixed if you don't need the segment driver otherwise. We have encountered another problem when starting aviator on machines that have (for example) SunLink X.25 installed: Aviator complains that it cannot set the multicast address and disables dogfight mode. The explanation to this is as follows: Aviator uses the first interface that it encounters. When installing SunLink X.25, the two serial interfaces on the CPU board become interfaces (otherwise they are only devices) and they come usually before the ethernet interfaces (can be seen with "netstat -ina"). This also causes trouble with diskless workstations, that also use these interfaces cause of malicious the "first fit" code. Put the line configuring the ethernet that you want to use with aviator before all other lines that configure interfaces, especially before the "zs0" line. Hope that helps Toerless Eckert
