Since I changed an old 3/60 for a SS1 as a gateway between Transpac (a X25 PPSDN here) and our Ethernet I have the following problem: [[I have to state that at the same time I changed from SUNOS 4.0.3 to 4.1.]] Whenever (that is allways) the Transpac modem is connected to a serial RS232C port of the SS1 the boot process blocks. Everything is blocked while checking the hardware configuration probably when polling the zs1 (port B to which the modem is connected). The only possibility is to perform a manual (L1) + A and reboot and then everything is smooth again. The trouble is that I want to have this gateway machine run unattended and I really need the automatic reboot after a power failure. Have someone seen this behaviour before? Any clue to a solution? pays@emse.fr -- internet S=pays; O=emse; P=emse; A=atlas; C=FR; -- X.400

|Whenever the Transpac modem is connected to a serial RS232C port of the |SS1 the boot process blocks. When we changed all our SS1s from 1.[01] to 1.3, this problem went away and I started sleeping better.
